CHANEL Paris-Bombay Métiers d’Art 2011/12
This morning, when I woke up to a text announcing my credit card bill, I wasn’t expecting anything to pep me up for the next few hours at least. But I got lucky! Yesterday, my friend Dionne Vaz did a cute little post on Chanel’s Paris Bombay Métiers d’Art show and just now I saw this gorgeous video showcasing the brilliantly crafted collection. Now, what’s even more exciting is that the soundtrack is called “Charu’s theme!” Confused? The C in Picky C stands for Charu for those of you who didn’t know that yet. Okay okay I get it, no big deal and Karl(yeah we are on the first name basis :P) didn’t ‘exactly’ dedicate it to me but can’t you just let the poor little blogger be?!
BTW was I the only one who thought the Chanel dress that Blake Lively wore for MET Gala was Sari-Inspired and not Grecian as others thought?! Either way, I am absolutely loving the attention India is getting from some of the top designers across the world. Chanel’s collection is a great follow up act post Jimmy Choo and Gucci’s “India special” clutches/bags and Hermès saris. Noice!! Do check out the StyleSlant post here.

Floral Rhapsody
This evening, I went to Ogaan to check out Anupama Dayal’s resort wear collection over Mimosas and cheese. It’s the collection she is going to showcase at the Indian Resort Fashion Week in two days’ time. As I went through those rows of brightly hued pieces, I instantly fell in love with a powder blue pleated dress. As I have said many times earlier, I have a total weakness for pleated dresses. Here are some pictures of me that dress and more!
The moment I put this dress on, I could imagine myself in Goaaaaaa!!
