Your secret is safe with me – Steve Madden’s Red Shoe Soiree

The day after I landed in Bombay I recieved an invitation to Steve Madden’s Red Shoe Soiree… timing, alright! I was wondering what exactly it meant because it sounded like it was not just about the launch of a collection of shoes in Red. The following video on their FB page made me even more curious.

Thankfully all the shopping, brunching, partying kept me entertained and before I knew it was the day of the soiree. As I got to their store with pretty Shirin Salwan of Verve Magazine, we were greeted with some rosé bubbly, red velvet cupcakes and some delightful canapes. Talk about spoiling us ladies.

A few moments (or in my language 3 flutes of bubbly) later, they gathered us together to announce their new range of red shoes AND launched a Facebook appwhere you can “confidently” and unbashedly reveal your most scandulous secrets and confess your girly and not so girly desires. Yup you heard that right… you can say the most mean, awkward, scary, bitchy things on earth annonymously, without thinking twice.

The reason why I said confidently because I had a quick chat with their developer team at the party who were beaming pride. They showed me their developer page where even they couldn’t see the identity of the people confessing. Guess what, I could see my little secret right there with no traces of my identity…. pheww :P

Lipstick marks on glasses can tell a tale... or at least the shade of your lipstick. I know who you are :P

Having said that if you’re the outspoken kind, you have the option to confess publicly too. Go for it ladies, spill them beans! Right here, right now!

UNFASHIONABLE :: UNSOLICITED OPINIONS. NO THANK YOU!

Our social existence is pretty similar to that of any parents’ during their daughter’s wedding. No matter how hard they try at making everything turn out perfect for each and every guest, they’ll always find at least one moron(most probably on the girl’s side of the family itself) complaining about the salt in dal makhni or the lack of sugar in his tea.

Why do we care so much about other people’s opinion on our own life, love, relationships and self worth? People’s opinion should matter to you because you mutually love and respect each other and not because they are related to you or work with you or live around you.

Which successful, fiesty woman aroud us today gives a damn to every Tom’s opinion? I am not suggesting you to be rude or disrespectful, only asking you to be picky about who can affect you and block out all the other noises. Promise?
