Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2012 – AM:PM, Ankur & Priyanka Modi

On Day 2 of Wills India Fashion Week we were ready for more and Ankur & Priyanka Modi of am:pm didn’t disappoint us at all. They played with seductive silhouettes in satin, silk and chiffon. The use of primary colours like blue and red and a few pieces in nude/champagne gold were a great relief from all the pastel and bright shades we saw on Day 1. Classy body-hugging jumpsuits, shirts and shift dresses oozed confidence. I stopped eating after the show, hoping to get into one of their jumpsuits… sigh!

Wills India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2012 – Rajesh Pratap Singh

I don’t think I am qualified to say if it was or wasn’t Rajesh Pratap Singh’s best show ever(which was quite a debate, btw). But those clothes looked so vibrant, comfortable and gorgeous that I would love to spend my next summer luxuriously lounging around in them. We saw printed and layered shirt dresses some of which were hooded, sarees with jackets and structured/dhoti style trousers for women. He used many vibrant shades of orange, fuchsia, steel grey, red and a hint of yellow combined with big butterfly and geometric prints. For men, he used beige, grey, red and white and guess what Rohit Bal walked the ramp for him. Interesting! What I really liked about the show was that it was held outside the main venue so the pre-winter breeze just made it even better. Accessories used were chunky yet subdued and shoes were great! In fact I would like to know where were those shoes came from. I want. Thank you Rajest Pratap Singh for doing the things you do and the way you do them.

Wills India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2012 – Pero By Aneeth Arora

Don’t go by the name, Pero’s Aneeth Arora is a she, and she is bloody good! Everyone I spoke to agreed that it was one of the “real” spring summer collection on day one. Going by her collection, it seems like it’ll be a fun, country-chic summer! Her show had solid+spring-y colours, floral prints, soft+bulky flared frocks, beaded head scarves, sunglasses with poppy rims, wicker baskets with fresh fruits and veggies, and everything you’d imagine if milkmaids were to be in vogue.

I almost missed the show thinking another show was on but thankfully I saw the screen outside with her name on the board and ran like crazy. Anyway, I missed a part of the show but managed to capture all the looks from the final walk in this video.

I managed to get some pictures from Pero’s FB page, take a look
